4. Bluebirds & Meteorite

The strangest thing I’ve ever thought
was why am I here if you are not
but now I know it’s true
I know why I am blue
I know why my colour’s all awry
is cause I let you in my life

So strange, so strange
the way that one behaves
When you turn off the light in their brain
When you take off their roof and it starts it starts to rain

Though I have learned to count the days
like a little kid playing marble games
still now I know it’s true
I know why I am blue
I know why my colour’s all awry
is cause I let you in my life

Night light, night light keeps me company
But it won’t quite, be what you need
When you wake from a book of dreams
With the pages torn so you don’t know what it means

There’s a bully who sleeps upstairs
He tells me things I don’t want to hear
but now I know it’s true
I know why I am blue
I know why my colour’s all awry
is cause I let you in my life
